Allow me to introduce myself. I am Cole Millward, bass player for Progressive Metal band S.I.Q. and sole creative force of my solo Djent project Hairy Parrot (for which this blog is named). I happen to be an advocate of staying connected with one's fans (though "fans" seems mighty presumptuous...perhaps I shall say random internet perusers instead), and hopefully this will be a good way for me to share information about the process of creating Hairy Parrot music, the behind-the-scenes goings-on in the S.I.Q. camp, my philosophies on the many elements of music creation, and whatever tunes to which I might be currently jamming. I will be sharing a lot of info on here that may very well never see the light of day in any other medium, so I promise, any S.I.Q./Hairy Parrot fan who takes the time to read my posts will be richly rewarded!
